April 25,2008 Fished Lake Michigan today, weather was good but a little windy,we had 12 fish on and landed 6 of them, all brown trout. Fished close in, about 3 to 4 feet of water on, caught our fish on planer boards and lead core (3 colors out)on body baits and spoons. I could not fish on the 26th as high winds and storms came in over night and the weather is back to cold!!! *****Did you know that Manistee has been included in the latest addtion of Outdoor Life as one of the top 200 towns for Anglers and Hunters. Manistee ranked 62!!! in the rating. What a great place to Fish! April 2008 The weather has finally broke, warmer days and nicer weather are hopefully here. The big boat is being rigged and in the water. Will have more of a report after this upcoming week-end ( 04/25 & 4/26) as I hope to be fishing those days. We have been steady in taking reservations for this summer and if you have not made your reservation please give us a call. Reports of a few browns being caught and a few salmon on the big lake. These warmer temps. should help some. The DNR has been planting fish the past few weeks. Our Salmon plant will arrive on the 29th of April or so from Wolf Lake Hatchery, to go into our net pens, for feeding and growth of the fingerlings before they are let out into Lake Michigan. This is a joint effort/project with the DNR, the local Manistee County sportfishing group and the Manistee charter boat group. Enjoy the great weather and as I said make sure you get your reservation made with First Class for your fishing trip this summer!!!!
